SARVESH PURGE PLUG
FOR LADLE TREATMENT
The purging of inert gas become an
integral part of modern steel making process. Due to lower refractory cost
and simpler installation technique, bottom purging of the inert gases
has become more popular than the immersed lance method.
The principal purposes and advantages of
bubbling inert gas in steel ladle are :
removal of dissolved gases from the liquid metal
homogenisation of temperature and chemistry of the liquid material
removal of non- metallic inclusions by flotation
well
dispersion of alloying elements and additives
removal of dissolved
gases in liquid steel
Sarvesh Purge Plug produce a high volume
of small bubbles creating a large surface area of contact between gas and
liquid steel to ensure efficient pick up and dispersion within the melt.
